Beauty Bar

I love all the girly toys I got for Christmas. This one makes me dance and clap! The tune is quite catchy (or annoying depending who you ask and/or how may times you hear it in a given hour).

Twas the Night Before Christmas

'Christmas Bear' is my new go-to animal for bedtime (Grandpa gave him to Mommy when she was little).

Spelling in the Tub

(sometimes I don't have enough letters to spell correctly but I do my best - here I am going for 'Tigger and Pooh')

Reece's Christmas Program

Today at school we had our Christmas Program - in my class, the boys dressed as Joseph and the girls as Mary. We sung several songs (I didn't do a lot of dancing [but you'll notice NONE of the boys did] and it took me a while to find my bell) but my solo-stage debut came with 'C is for Cattle' when we performed the Christmas ABCs.

After our performance we had lunch and a book exchange. I got the Bernstain Bears, No Girls Allowed (its one of my new favorites).

Santa

Last year our trip to visit Santa was a bust but this year no one cried and we got a nice photo. Reece even talked to Santa a little - Santa asked him what he wanted and when he didn't respond Santa asked him, 'toys'? Reece responded, 'for my stocking'.
Reece is excited to move the candy cane each day in our calendar and both he and Madelyn enjoy dancing with our 'Rocking Santa'. Thus far Reece has no awareness/anticipation of receiving gifts. We have greatly enjoyed watching all of the animated Christmas shows as a family. Reece's favorite this year are Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas.

Getting Ready for Christmas

We haven't gotten to do a lot of Christmas activities this year because we've had the sniffles/RSV.
PS - do you all know how challenging it is to get 2 kids to look at 1 camera at the same time (let alone get them to smile)?

Reece Dancing with Zoe

Sesame Street has an online game that allows you to build your own dance ... my moves aren't quite as good as Zoe's but Mom and Dad say my moves rock anyway!

Happy Thanksgiving

(another year at the kids table)

Great Wolf Lodge

We enjoyed a trip to Great Wolf Lodge as part of our Thanksgiving vacation. I had a really good time going down all the slides. The blue one was my FAVORITE! I had a great time - Madelyn (and thus Mommy and Daddy) not so much.

Madelyn did enjoy eating and playing with her big brother (of course)!

Picnic!

We have tea parties and picnics on a daily basis

One Sock

Mom and Dad say my name should be 'One Sock' because I never have 2 on for more than 5 minutes.

Our New Ride

Daddy got the work out bug and we've been looking for a double-bike trailer/jogging stroller so we could all work out as a family. We both really like taking a ride in the trailer.

Happy Halloween from Captain Hook and Izzy the Pirate!

(Izzy [Madelyn] was in no mood to trick or treat when the time came)

Finger Painting

I am quite the artist!

Toy Table

I have discoved the toy table and have figured out how to steer my walker right to it!

Here Ducky Ducky

(I can't imagine why these ducks don't want any bread!)

I LOVE school

I would go to school 7 days a week if I could. I really LOVE my teachers. When I get to school its time for freeplay and I always go to the same 3 things; the blue ball, the grapes, and a wooden toolbox.
These are my fall school pictures:

6 Months

I still only have 2 teeth ... everyone keeps thinking the top 2 will emerge soon but so far just the 2 bottoms. I am very curious, very interested in my big brother, and very big for my age.

Height - 28" (98 percentile)
Weight - 21 lb 14 oz (99 percentile)

Push Ups

I do a lot of push ups these days - no forward motion yet but it won't be long.

Frog Boy

We got a lot of rain today so I put on my raincoat (even though it was still 90 degrees) and sloshed around for a bit.
