Mom isn't much for roughing it in the great outdoors so sometimes we pretend with our pop up tent or in the closet.

Taekwondo

I started Taekwondo this week. In addition to learning the moves, they also reinforce good discipline, manners and integrity, listening, and of course following directions (the first time). I hit a few bumps (one BIG crying spell) but I really enjoy class. We practice our Taekwondo forms and play a game at the end ... my favorite is freeze tag. I try to practice freeze tag at home but Madelyn isn't very good at following the directions.

Kite

We got a big kite for Christmas and finally had a windy day to use it. It took some doing (and probably a few not so nice words) but we finally got it going up up and away (and stuck in the trees a few times).
